Spring Cleaning: 3 Areas to Focus on to create more Success

Cleaning is something we know we need to start, but it’s easiest to procrastinate than to have the motivation to do it. So often, we leave clutter where we know we can avoid it and sometimes, it can pile up to the point where we don’t even know where to begin. So, while you’re finally getting around to doing it, here are a few tips to help keep you productive.

1. Start With the Physical Clutter

It’s almost impossible to get anything done when you are physically disorganized. Get rid of the stuff that you don’t need. Seriously! Get rid of documents you no longer need and organize what you’re keeping into easy-to-access places. You will feel so much better after doing this. There is nothing better than taking a fresh breath of spring air; cleaning up and organizing your space will allow you to do this.

2. Clean up your Schedule

Are there things you have scheduled for yourself that are causing you to be particularly overwhelmed? Or are you not really working off of a schedule? Take the time to look at all of your commitments and prioritize them. Are there things that you can get done right away? Are there commitments that you should drop or delegate to someone else? Setting a clear schedule with defined priorities is crucial to your success journey.

3. Finally, Clean up your Relationships

Are there people you are friends with on Facebook who you should really unfriend by now? Or are there people in your life who negatively affect you and your happiness? It may be time to evaluate your relationships with certain people and decide if it is still good for you to have these people in your life.

What is one thing you can clean up this week that you’ve been avoiding?

“If you want to make an easy job seem mighty hard, just keep putting off doing it.”
