Have you ever gotten bored of things you once loved doing? Do you experience frequent burn-outs or feel drained by what once brought you joy? Maybe it’s because you are not following your HEART.
In the poem, The Road Not Taken, Robert Frost wrote about two roads diverged from a point in the woods. Both roads looked equally good. He took the second road which was less travelled, and that made all the difference in his life.
Similarly in our lives, the two roads are our HEART and our brain. Our brain wants to take the proven and trodden path, whereas our HEART tugs us to the unknown path that is usually less travelled. If we always submit to the practicality of our brain, keeping our HEART at bay, we could set the tone for a mediocre life filled with frustration.
It’s important to follow our HEART. It is said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life”.
Follow your HEART, but take your brain with you.
